The rules on airline oxygen
Airlines must accept DOT-approved portable oxygen concentrators
Effective May 13, 2009, all airlines taking off or landing in the United States are required to accept any of seven approved Portable Oxygen Concentrators for passengers to carry on and use on the plane. The Alpha-1 Foundation has launched an Airline Oxygen Council of America website with all the details—including how you can report any problems with airline oxygen.
This website is made possible through the generosity of AlphaNet, Baxter Healthcare, Centric Health Resources, CSL Behring, and Talecris Biotherapeutics.
